In today's modern era, having a well-designed website is crucial for any organisation, including charities. That's why when Shropshire-based charity "Little Stars" approached Six Ticks, a leading web development company, to design their new website, we knew we had to create a website that would look not only great but also be functional and easy to navigate for prospective donators and those who would utilise it.
While their previous website had a simple and functional design, Six Ticks stepped up to create a new website that will help Little Stars expand its outreach and more effectively communicate its mission to a broader audience. In recent time, both the mission and vision of Little Stars have grown and changed and this new website would be here to accommodate that.
To address these points, we started by redesigning the site, using a clean and modern design that featured a clear message and call-to-actions. Coinciding with this, navigation is one of the most critical aspects of any website. If visitors can't find what they are looking for quickly, they will likely leave the website and look for another source of information so as with all of our websites, we designed the pages with user experience in mind. We created a clear and easy-to-navigate menu structure, making it easy for visitors to find the information they need.
We also integrated both a referral and a donation button into the design. The former allows health professionals, agencies, and other signposting charities across Shropshire to get in contact with us and refer a family whilst the latter allows anyone to easily make either a singular or monthly donation to help Little Stars continue with their good work.
To further enhance the user experience, we created a news centre that provides visitors with information about the charity's activities, the latest news and event. This section not only provides visitors with up-to-date information whilst helping them to keep them engaged with the charity but with continual posting, can also help boost the website ranking on search engines and help the charity reach a wider audience.
Alongside this, our team also improved upon the previous website by increasing the prominence of their social media links, setting out a clear structure between the information of who the charity is, what their campaigns are & how people can support them and have created a custom contact form that allows the user to choose specifically what their topic of enquiry is about so as the message gets sent to the correct corresponding email.
We believe this new website created for Little Stars is a vast improvement to the charities online presence. The new site is visually appealing, easy to navigate, and optimised for mobile devices and effectively communicates Little Stars' mission and encourages visitors to get involved and support the charity.
