After a two-year pandemic induced interval the Shrewsbury Colour run is back!
Last Saturday the Sansaw Estate saw the return of the annual [Lingen Davies Cancer Fund] non-competitive 5k. However, this is no ordinary run as along the course are marshals with bags of powder paint who’s sole aim is to turn the entrants into a running mass of rainbows. No T-shirt will remain untouched by the end of the course!
Not just a run for fun.
This multicoloured sprint is not simply a 5k without a cause. The money raised goes straight to the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund, an organisation devoted to aiding the local cancer services in and around Shropshire, Telford and Mid Wales.
Six Ticks sponsored shirts
After providing the 2020 event with shirts and water, this year we were happy to see that the white Six Ticks T-shirts were back and ready to be canvases for the abstract art pieces they were about to become. This year, two of our team (Dee and Steph) signed up to take part in this colour based course, along with Jim, a friend from local business networking group Severn Business Network and Ryan. Here’s what Steph had to say about the event:
Stephanie Henson, Six Ticks Sales and Operations Director, said:
"It was great to see so many people out supporting the event this year. We had a lot of fun working our way around the course, even though I did end up looking like a smurf pretty early on! We're thrilled we could support this event and look forward to next year!"
Helen Knight, Development Manager for Lingen Davies had this to say:
"Firstly, a huge thank you for supporting the Colour run 2020/22!!! At last, it happened! I hope you agree it was a successful event”
You can find a selection of photos from the event in the gallery below. If you have any sponsorship opportunities you would like to talk to us about or simply want to find out more about what we do make sure to head to the contact page and send a message.
