This week we feel privileged to launch a new website for Omushana Sunshine for Children, an incredible charity based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire which supports rural communities in Southern Uganda.
Omushana means 'Sunshine' in Rukiga, the local language in the locality of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, South-Western Uganda, where the charity first began its work.
Omushana supports projects big and small which improve the welfare and education of children living in rural communities around the Mountain Gorilla forests. The charity's projects vary and include anything from buying text books for local schools, to providing fresh water or latrines, or encouraging vocational training.
The new mobile-friendly website offers a modern, great looking, easy-to-navigate design which will help Omushana showcase their brilliant projects and recruit new supporters.
One of the charity's upcoming projects is building a library for the community of Ruhija and for this project alone they need to raise £5,000 in 2017. If you'd like to make an online donation towards this project, find out about the charity's work, or get involved, visit the brand new website here: www.omushana.org
"Working with Steff and Six Ticks has been a great experience - they have been so friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. We love the look of the new site and it is so easy to edit that even I can keep it updated!"
Gill Castle, Omushana Founder.
