And we have a confession to make... We are kinda workaholics.
We love nothing more than developing amazing websites and IT solutions, accompanied with our famously friendly customer service of course.
But this month, something BIG is happening. We’ve decided to close those laptops and head down the M40 towards North London for our first ever official away day and a very special occasion.
That's right, Steff, Ian, Bill, and Shelley are on our way to Wembley to support Shrewsbury Town FC in their big play off final against Rotherham FC.
Shrewsbury Town FC?
Yep. Shrewsbury Town FC!
Six Ticks provides web design and digital services to companies around the world, but our HQ is in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. So when we heard that Shrewsbury Town FC made it to the play-off finals and have the chance to win a place in the Championship next year, we knew it was our duty to cheer on the mighty Blues on this special occasion.
A team trip to Wembley is a first, but we are no strangers to The Montgomery Waters Meadow, Shrewsbury Town's home ground. We are regulars at the Severn Business Network’s weekly breakfast meetings, which just so happen to take place at the stadium.
We can't wait for the big day, and to help spread some Shrewsbury Town FC cheer, here are some facts about the club:
- - The club's mascot is called Lennie the Lion. He's a lion.
- - The club was first formed way back in 1886.
- - Shrewsbury Town FC are often referred to as 'Salop' which is an old name for Shropshire.
- - Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart was born in Shrewsbury and started his career at Shrewsbury Town FC.
Come on The Shrews!
