2022 was a bit of a rollercoaster year in the UK.

We welcomed a new monarch for the first time in seventy years, the Prime Minister changed more frequently than most people change their sheets, and we all got to grips with a controversial winter football world cup.

For Shropshire-based website and software developers Six Ticks, 2022 was a year of exciting developments and bold new ventures. With 2023 now in full swing, we thought we’d take a moment to reflect on 2022 and share our top highlights from a great year…

We Said Hello to Halo Intranet!

It’s not every day that you launch a disruptive, game-changing technology, but Six Ticks did just that in 2022 with the release of Halo, a new kind of intranet designed specifically for hybrid and remote workforces.

Thousands of People Go Krazy!

Six Ticks has been the sponsor and website developer for Krazy Races since the event was launched way back in 2018, and after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, we were hyped to support the fun-filled soap box derby as it got back on the road in 2022.

10,000 spectators attended the Shrewsbury event with many popping onto the Krazy Races mobile-friendly website on the day to use Six Ticks’ live voting feature.

Six Ticks Take to the High Seas!

Believe it or not, maritime adventures were not initially in Six Ticks’ annual plan for 2022, but when the University of Wolverhampton asked us to support their search for the long-lost British naval vessel “The Captain”, we were both intrigued and honoured.

The Captain tragically sank in high winds in 1870 off the North West coast of Spain. Now acclaimed naval historian Dr Fuller is on a mission to raise awareness of the Captain’s story and raise funds so his team can find the wreck. To support his mission, Six Ticks developed a first-class website to share the story and encourage donations.
