We may even suggest something alongside your initial brief if we think it will help your business’ digital success.
It is so important to know your goals and aims when it comes to digital activity. Often businesses have an idea of what this is, but we can take it to the next level and supercharge it.
We are a team of experts and we like to think we know websites, apps, and data systems pretty well. We want to share that expertise with you and guide you in the right direction, so your business will reap the full benefits of our work.
The brief you provide us with is tailored to your business and our consultancy works in the exact same way. We will provide advice throughout your process with us to ensure everyone is happy and all areas have been covered.
Things to consider
There are a few questions that should be answered before we get to work. Don’t worry if you’re not sure, that’s where we come in!
Who are you targeting?
Who is your target audience? Who do you want to end up on your website and think “wow, I need this business in my life!”?
It’s likely you’ll know exactly who your business’ target audience is, which means we can keep that in mind when we work on your developments (and if you don’t, we can help there too!).
Why are you using digital?
What do you want to get out of your digital presence? Some people simply want a place on the internet to provide further information about their business (for example, restaurants), others may run online stores and want to use their digital platform as a means to generate sales… it totally depends on your business.
What tools are best for you to use?
See above: why are you using digital?
The answer to that question should hopefully nudge you (or us) in the right direction for what tools you need.
If you’re an online shop, you will need a system to track sales and enquiries.
If you’re a B2B organisation whose website is for sharing information about your services and your industry, you’ll need a good CRM system to upload content regularly.
Perhaps you don’t need a website at all, and an app is the way forward for you...
Don’t forget about those analytics, too! We’d recommend everyone have a reliable analytics tool so you can track where people are going on your website and how people are using it.
Where do you want your business brand to be?
Everyone has a digital presence for similar reasons that are then tailored to your business. You may want to grow your business and think that going digital is the way forward (here’s a hint: IT IS!) or you may want to give your online presence a bit of a facelift.
Let us know where you want your business brand to be and we can work from there to achieve your goals.
Again, as digital consultants, we will always keep it real with you and will let you know if your desires are: a) too wild - we can’t get you to 100,000 unique monthly viewers immediately, or b) too tame - we like to push you to achieve the best possible results!
When do you need to have achieved it?
It can be tough to put time frames on these things but it is always good to give yourself a timeline for your goals. It makes the goals seem more achievable and means we can understand how soon you want certain changes to have an impact on your business.
As mentioned above, we will be realistic with you and will tell you whether we think that time frame should be extended a bit, or whether we can get 10x more done in your given time period.
